Every Wound Is A Victory

Every wound is a victory

Throughout our lives, we have to go through a series of indisputable steps that make us mature, grow, and transform ourselves into what we really want to be, getting each victory we’ve been waiting for.

Each step is a learning experience, but what happens when we get stuck in one of these steps? When we don’t move forward in life, we are static and perhaps lost, not knowing where to go. Why not get over what’s happening to us?

In our lives we go through happy moments, but we also face sad and traumatic moments that cause wounds and scars. We must embrace these moments to move on with our lives and overcome the stage in which we find ourselves. This is the time to get off the train.

It is necessary to be safe to overcome the stages that we all have in our lives. For this, it is important to know which steps we are talking about:

  • Childhood is the first stage that allows us to observe and investigate the world in which we live.
  • Adolescence is the second stage in which emotions are intensely experienced.
  • Youth and adulthood are the third stage that puts us in a world of responsibilities and decisions.
  • Old age is the last of the stages formed by several memories and stories.

These are the four important steps that we all go through or will go through at some point. Interestingly, moving from childhood to adolescence is something that everyone overcomes. However, when we reach adulthood this gets complicated.

There are many people who decide to stay in adolescence, where we can escape the responsibilities and decisions that are part of adults’ lives.

In the same way, how many people want to remain in adulthood by refusing the old age that comes immediately after?

We may decide to stay in one step, but this is not the natural course of life and, like everything else, choosing it will have its consequences.

To give an example, do we know why the terrible crisis of the 40s occurs? Why do many people that age end up behaving like teenagers?

It is the fear of what is to come, the passing of time that runs and runs without stopping terrifies us and opens great wounds of frustration and impotence that we need to heal.

Heal your wounds and turn each one into a victory

When we get stuck at a stage, whether by comfort, fear, trauma or any other reason, a wound arises in us for not living life as we wanted or as we should.

Have you ever felt the sensation of having no dreams? That nothing seems to make sense? We can feel this at any stage of our lives, and in some cases this thought can lead to depression.

However, we must know that at each stage there will be positive things, but also negative things. Things that will make us ready or unprepared to move to the next car.

Accept that it is normal to feel hurt at times due to the passage of time, the stress of worries, the fear of taking on responsibilities… but there is a solution!

Staying in one step will do no more than feed this open wound. To heal it and turn it into victory, we must look beyond. Only then will we be able to continue advancing in our life, even if we carry a backpack full of learning scars on our backs.

But if you do get past a step, make sure your wound has healed well, as it can open up at any time, something that will no doubt be more painful.

Always move forward in your life, even if it hurts, even if the path is difficult. The victory will be to accept and heal this wound that was left behind and which is now seen as another learning experience.

Don’t allow yourself to stay in a car, quiet, while the train continues on its way. Time passes and we must learn to walk and progress, always aspiring to reach the last car full of happiness.
